Mechele Dickerson

Mechele Dickerson, an American lawyer, is currently the Arthur L. Moller Chair in Bankruptcy and Practice and University Distinguished Teaching Professor at University of Texas School of Law. She is a member of the American Law Institute.[1][2] She is the author of “The Middle-Class New Deal: Restoring Upward Mobility and the American Dream” (2026) and "Homeownership and America's Financial Underclass: Flawed Premises, Broken Promises, New Prescriptions" (2014). She is the Faculty Athletics Representative for the University of Texas-Austin and a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
