The Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Alternative Theatre Experience is an award presented at the Lucille Lortel Awards to honor excellence in Off-Broadway alternative theatre experiences since 1992. The award is not given out each year and is determined by the Voting Committee, with the most recent recipient from 2019.[3]
Among performers, Bill Irwin is the only performer to receive multiple nominations in the category, with two (including one win). Among producers, The Public Theater is the only producer to be nominated or win more than once, winning all four of its nominations.
