Joe Delucci's was a British frozen dessert company. The company supplied the British food service and hospitality sectors with high-end Italian gelato, (ice cream and sorbet).[1] Joe Delucci's gelato was manufactured in Italy, using vegetarian flavours and eschewing the use of artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
The business was largely wholesale supply to trade clients, and they had a small number of franchised and company owned outlets in Westfield London, Brent Cross, and seasonally in Brighton.
The company was forced to cease trading in 2025[2] following a sustained downturn in sales, retail footfall and rising costs.[3]
Name
The name Joe Delucci was a fictional name. The rough translation means 'Joe of Light' and is a reference to the company's stated aim to change how consumers in the UK perceive ice cream by introducing them to more wholesome and lighter products such as gelati and sorbets. [4]
