Bhujanga Tudu is an Indian Santali-language writer and poet. He is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in Santali for 2017 for his poetry collection Tahenan Tangi Re, one of the highest literary honours in India conferred by the Sahitya Akademi.[1]
Literary career
Bhujanga Tudu has contributed significantly to Santali literature through his poetry. His writings reflect themes of indigenous identity, culture, and social change among Santali communities. His award-winning poetry collection Tahenan Tangi Re received national recognition and established him as an important literary figure in Santali language literature.[2]
He has also participated in literary and cultural programmes where he spoke on the preservation and development of Santali language and culture, and highlighted the contribution of Santali scholars and writers.[3]
